The Twisted Crab

I'm posting on the Hampton page, because there is no page for the new location in the Greenbrier area in Chesapeake. I was treated like a king by my server. She was excellent! The food was plentiful and tasty, and the soft drinks were bottomless. They've done a great job with the place. It's very inviting, and it's attractive. I loved the bar scene there! I look forward to returning sometime in the near future.

WAY OVER PRICED!!! Don’t wast your money. Ok/good flavors, but would never go back and would not recommend!

Fantastic fresh seafood no fuss no muss

It was really good. Asked for extra spicy it could've been hotter but overall great experience.

The fried shrimp left a horrible taste in my mouth, but the boil was good. Prices though are too expensive based on serving sizes.

They are in the middle of a soft opening, so details are being worked out, and staff trained. So, set expectations accordingly for consistency and fluidity of service. That said, the food is really good, and the concept of the restaurant is on point. It has an upscale feel, but with old school fish buckets for shells to go in, and paper table covers. The process are reasonable, with 2 people being able to eat well for between $30 and $50.

Ordered pick up. Garlic butter and twisted butter were amazing! Pretty fast preparation.

This was my first time coming here. My daughter had the kids shrimp and fries. She liked it. I ordered the oyster basket with onion rings. The Oysters were fried a little too long for my liking. The onion rings we're fine. I did really enjoy the Cajun chicken wings I ordered. Service was good as well. I will be back for a family member who wants to try it out so I will try a different entree' see how it is.

I went to the Hampton location on today to celebrate my aunt bday. The experience was so great until I received my check. I ordered two kids meal and an adult meal not knowing one of my kids meal was changed to an adult meal without my knowledge only because I wanted sauce on my daughter’s wings. The waiter brought the manager to my table without me having to ask then the manager says it was a misunderstanding and the waiter should have confirmed the order with me before changing my menu item. I’m thinking since my receipt was wrong it would be changed but the manager Raven tells me I have to pay for the mistake. This is the first time I ever was told as a customer I had to pay for an employee mistake. I know I may not get my money back but management needs customer service training and employees shouldn’t assume customers know their menu. This was my first and last time coming to this establishment.

If you go to the Twisted Crab, ask for Alicia she is an awesome waitress. Luv her!

Absolutely delicious it is very good being here over 10 times and August alone the reason I did not give a 5-star is because I feel that the snow crab clusters are getting a little smaller and some of them are not filled with meet but I would say very great Service and good people

Some of the best seafood in Hampton! I went with my dad and we ordered a T-3 with the twisted seasoning to share (the portions are on the larger side). Our waitress was very patient with us as it was our first time there and she actually recommended the the dish we ordered. The food was delicious. The restaurant has a very chill atmosphere and they also have a full bar!

Do NOT order crawfish from here! Everything else seems decent.

The crab legs were good, soft shell fried crabs not so good

The seafood was delicious the service was awesome, our seats in a booth was great my frist time , I really enjoyed it and can't wait to go again.

I guess COVID-19 made me wait 40 mins in line after I placed my order an hour before I arrived.

Good food, good music. They only had certain beers and wine, no liquor but we still enjoyed and would go back! You get plenty to eat, and waitress was friendly!

Great customer service , great prices and good food..

First time ever going and I loved it. The greeting at the door was wonderful being seated right away The waitress was awesome we had a baby with us and she totally understood. The food was excellent. I must revisit again

The best place in the city if you are looking for a seafood boil. Nice place for a family dinner or birthday party. They take reservations and the food was well seasoned. The best party: the appetizers come with a side!!!

This is the first Poor Review I have ever written, mostly because it was such a waste of time and money... :+(.. the corn was so old and overcooked that it stuck to my teeth and I couldn't remove it ... The fried oysters were just that... Fried... mostly batter and tasted like grease. yuk! The hush puppies were dry as a bone. The cole slaw was warm with no flavor. The best part was the crab legs. We threw most of it away. What a wasted evening of dinner. We had our desert- Homemade Brownies, to make it better...

I got a to go order 1lb of shrimp and 1 lb. of crab legs with twisted sauce. The food was over cooked the shell on the shrimp were stuck the shrimp and the meat in the crab legs were also stuck and wouldn't come out. Twisted was my favorite crab boil restaurant, but after this order I'm done.

The food was good but you could taste the grease in the fried food. I love the atmosphere there

Their catfish basket is soooooo good. I would recommend it to literally anyone.

They changed the music to family friendly R&B and put cartoons on one of the televisions he was facing.The food was excellent it went beyond expectations.

Absolutely amazing! We went for lunch and had the T1 special w/1 extra crab cluster. This was enough food to split between my hubby and I. Waitress Krystal was very nice and attentive. Will definitely be back.

Good Food and reasonable prices

Food and service has been great every time my wife and I go here. My wife enjoyed herself so much on the big portion of shrimp so much that I almost thought that a vacuum had started up next to me.

One of the best sea food adventures I've had sense being in the area. I absolutely recommend getting one of the alphabetical combos on the menu. Huge portions and amazing flavor.

Food was delicious. I ordered the steamed bag with shrimp and crab legs with Creole seasoning. It was well seasoned. We were given gloves and a bib ( kept the juices off my hand and clothes). A little pricey but it was worth it.

So I went on July 15 at 9pm for the first time I wasn’t sure At what time they closed. Got to the door and it said 10:30pm so still went in order the food wich was really good but the waiter was really rude.. the chairs were already up in the tables like telling us hurry up and eat we closing early. I don’t think that’s a good look on a restaurant

I enjoy myself every time. I am biased because I only get the seafood boil. My suggestion is always to add rolls, baguette or rice for tug he juice because it is so good

I did a Togo order being the quarantine has limited dinner options and the food was delicious. The twisted crab sauce was soooooo good! We really enjoyed being able to dig in at home and not worry about the mess too!

We sat for almost an hour! And people that came in after us had gotten their food. We decided to leave. We go to the counter to pay for the tea we drank and that came to $5.70. Then they say our food was ready we said no thanks, and we left. Wish I didn't have to give this place a star

If you want raw seafood and manager who will try to tell you its not raw, this is the place for you.. I had the Shrimp (lbs) and crab legs (lbs) with corn and added sausage. Everything was raw except the crab legs which were suspect. I'm trying to get that flavor out of my mouth.., very difficult. My server, Nana, was very friendly though and that's the plus. Don't believe me..., I have photos SMH Drive the extra 4 miles to Harpoon Larry's or Joes Crab Shack. This was rediculous!!

I visited around 5PM on a Sunday and had no wait. My waitress was very attentive to my food allergies and accommodating. I ordered the #2 twisted combo and added a cluster of snow legs with the mild twisted sauce. I appreciated the shrimp were deveined and not over cooked, the crab legs were fresh and sweet as well. My only disappointment was they didn't have any lemon and had apparently been out all day. I felt there were too many stores around for that not to have been corrected before 5PM. My waitress was able to find some limes at the bar. It wasn't quite the same taste but it worked. I live an 1 1/2 HRS away and this was my first visit but I would definitely come back.

For the price... not worth it. The smallest crab legs that I have ever seen sold!!!!! The sauce was good n that’s it!

I order a half of lb snow crab legs and shrimp I get one cluster that’s was no bigger than my hand and missing a leg when I could have went to farm fresh and got a pound for $14 with 3 cluster big one at that they will not be getting anymore of my money ever again that was a rip off for $33
